BURTON ALBION V WREXHAM
Tuesday 17th February 2009
This Tuesday Wrexham travel to The Pirelli Stadium to take on League leaders Burton Albion.
Burton won the reverse fixture at the Racecourse in September, when a mix up between Carl Tremarco and Gavin Ward gifted Shaun Harrad an easy tap in for a 1-0 victory.
Burton's form in the League has been exceptional, winning fifteen and drawing one since their last League defeat against Oxford United in October. In Shaun Harrad, Burton have one of the Leagues most potent strikers, and previous manager Nigel Clough has moulded the team into a formidable outfit.
Burton's home record is very impressive, they are unbeaten at home this season, winning Twelve and drawing Four while scoring Thirty-seven goals and conceding Sixteen.
The Dragons are also in impressive form. Winning Eleven and drawing Four of Dean Saunders Sixteen League games in charge.
Wrexham will need to keep it tight at the back, especially from set pieces and corners where they have been undone in recent games. If they can achieve this and win the midfield battle then they could take all Three points in what should prove to be a tight match up.
