Eastbourne Borough v Wrexham

6th March 2009

Match Preview

Wrexham face a tricky trip To Eastbourne Borough today, Knowing that any further slip ups could derail their playoff bid.

The Dragons have won only two of their last six league matches, and have failed to record a win in any of their last five matches in all competitions.

The loss of Striker Marc Williams is a big blow to Wrexham's promotion aspirations, and Tuesday's blank at Crawley was the first time Wrexham have failed to score in the league since the November defeat at Kidderminster Harriers thirteen matches ago.

Eastbourne Have also been faltering recently, After an excellent run in January saw them move away from the relegation area, they have since lost three of the last four including a 3-0 reverse at home to Oxford United on Tuesday night.

The reverse fixture at the racecourse in December saw Wrexham record an emphatic 5-0 win, with Marc Williams scoring a hat trick.

Wrexham desperately need to bounce back from recent disappointments and secure three points today, otherwise they could see the teams around them start to pull away in the race to make the playoffs.
