Histon v Wrexham
28th March 2009
Match preview
Wrexham travel to the glass world stadium tomorrow, with their playoff hopes fading rapidly.
The Dragons have lost back to back home matches this week and now trail fifth placed Kidderminster Harriers by seven points, and have played a game more. Wrexham's recent form has been dismal, losing five of their last nine league games while only winning once.
Wrexham's inability to convert goal scoring opportunities coupled with some comical defending has wrecked their season, and they now have to start picking up wins to keep their faint playoff hopes alive.
Histon are currently in fourth position with 67 points from 36 games, and with six of their remaining ten games at home, they are in a strong position to achieve a playoff place.
They have won ten home games this season, drawn six and only lost once. Their current form is also good, with only two losses from their last nine, while recording four wins.
With away matches against Oxford United, Wrexham and Burton Albion coming up, Histon will be determined to heap more woe on Dean Saunders team and take all three points.
Prediction 2-1 home win
