Kettering Town v Wrexham
18 April 2009
Match Preview
Wrexham travel to Rockingham Road tomorrow, hoping to end the season with a flourish.
A disastrous run of results since February has seen Wrexham drop to tenth in the table, with no chance of reaching the playoffs. Eight defeats from fifteen matches has left Wrexham's season in tatters, and with only two wins in that run, the Dragons have dropped from fourth in the table to their current position.
Dean Saunders is sure to make more changes to his line up; Mansour Assoumani is banned after receiving a straight red card against Altrincham last time out. And Saunders has hinted that he may try one or two youngsters as he looks now to next season.
Kettering have also seen their playoff hopes fade in recent weeks. At one stage, they looked likely to make the playoffs, having games in hand on all of their rivals. But with no wins from their last six matches, the Poppies have been left trailing their promotion rivals, and with three matches remaining, last seasons Conference North Champions are playing for pride only.
