Northwich Victoria v Wrexham

Wrexham head to Northwich Victoria on Tuesday night with their playoff hopes hanging in the balance.

Wrexham haven't won any of their last six matches, losing three and drawing three. Three points from eighteen have left the Dragons languishing in ninth place, and they must now rely on others to slip up as well as string a run of wins together themselves.

Victoria have only won four league matches all season, and have won only once in their last twenty attempts. They are currently 23rd in the table, sixteen points from safety, and looking certs to be relegated.

With Matt Jansen likely to feature again, the dragons will be looking to convert some of the missed opportunities that have blighted some of their recent performances.

Northwich are sure to battle for every ball and will take heart from the 3-3 draw at the racecourse in late January, where they were denied a win in injury time when Patrick Suffo converted a penalty.

This 'Derby' match is sure to be closely contested, but Wrexham will surely have too much for their nearest neighbours in the BSP and return to North Wales with three points.
