Wrexham v Crawley Town
21st March 2009
Match preview
Wrexham will look to build on Tuesday's win at Northwich Victoria, when they entertain Crawley Town at the racecourse on Saturday. After their recent slump, the dragons are beginning to recover and have been unbeaten in three games.
However, six points from six games is hardly promotion form, so Wrexham are going to have to take advantage of the fact they have seven home games to play and put some points on the board.
Crawley also have promotion aspirations, and are in good form with three wins, two draws and a defeat in their last six games.
They are currently in ninth place, with fifty seven points from thirty six matches, six points adrift of the playoffs.
Crawley have won only four matches on the road this season, the lowest amount of the teams in the top ten, while Wrexham's nine home wins is the lowest total of the top ten teams.
New signing Matt Jansen has shown some good touches in his first two games. And Dean Saunders will be hoping that Jansen can provide the cutting edge Wrexham have been lacking recently.
Prediction 2-1 Wrexham win.
