Wrexham v Weymouth
26th April 2009
Match Preview
Wrexham pull down the curtain on their first season of Blue Square Premier league football this afternoon when they entertain Weymouth at the Racecourse.
Wrexham have crashed out of the playoff picture in recent weeks, taking only eleven points from seventeen matches, and Dean Saunders has a huge task on his hands in the summer if the Dragons are to compete next season.
Weymouth were sadly relegated on Friday, when they lost at home to fellow strugglers York City. The Terras have been affected by financial issues which saw most of the first team squad leave the club in February. Since then they have lost fourteen of the fifteen matches they have played, and have crashed from a respectable mid table position into the bottom four.
Regardless of Wrexham's recent form in front of goal, they should have enough to record a narrow win and end the season on a winning note.
Prediction 1-0 Home win.
