FA Trophy Quarter Finals

This weekend sees the return of the FA Trophy. Matches are at the Quarter Final stage, so for the Eight teams involved it is time to start dreaming about Wembley.

Holders Ebbsfleet United travel to Wrexham, confident of causing an upset. Ebbsfleet's league form has been poor, losing Fourteen of Thirty matches. Wrexham's League form has been very good, losing only twice in Seventeen matches. Dean Saunders will be eager to get his side back on track after Tuesday's defeat at league leaders Burton Albion.

In form Stevenage Borough entertain Forest Green Rovers. Rovers will be encouraged by Wednesdays 3-0 victory at home to Northwich Victoria, but Stevenage should be to strong for them.

The tie Between AFC Telford and Southport should be a cracker. Both teams are going well in the Blue square North, lying Third and Fourth respectively. This should be a close match and Telford's home advantage may well be the key that sends them into the Semi finals.

Finally York City take on Havant and Waterlooville at the Kit Kat Crescent.

York overcome Kidderminster Harriers in the previous round after a penalty shoot out which ended 13-12. Havant beat Crawley 2-0 in the last round and currently stand Eighteenth in the Blue Square South. York have been the draw specialists this season with 12 in 31 league games.

I expect Wrexham, Stevenage Borough and AFC Telford to win their games on Saturday with Havant and Waterlooville forcing a replay against York.
