Midweek review

Burton consolidated their grip on the Blue square premier division with a narrow win against rivals Wrexham. The Dragons had much the better of the first half and deservedly led at the break. Burton came storming back in the second half and goals from Butler and Miller sent them nineteen points clear of Histon in second place.

Kidderminster's recent wobble continued at home to playoff rivals Cambridge. Two goals in the first half an hour put Cambridge in the driving seat, and although Harriers reduced the deficit before half time, Cambridge sealed the win and Fourth place in the division on the hour.

Kettering and Mansfield played out a 0-0 draw, a result which helps neither team.

At the bottom of the table, Salisbury City improved their chances of survival by beating Woking 1-0. A goal from Griffin just after half time was enough to give Salisbury the points.

In Wednesday nights game, Forest Green Rovers moved out of the relegation zone with a 3-0 victory over fellow strugglers Northwich Victoria. Rovers raced into a 2-0 lead within fifteen minutes and were never troubled. The win moves Forest Green up to Nineteenth and plunges Barrow into the drop zone.
