Administration is the way to go...

Wrexham fans campaigning to save their club condemned former chairman Mark Guterman's proposed take-over of the club as their High Court case with the Inland Revenue rapidly approaches.

Wrexham Supporters’ Trust, who in recent weeks have seen two bids to buy the club rejected by controversial chairman Alex Hamilton, questioned Mr Guterman's motives, claiming his return to the club would not be in the best interests of Wrexham AFC.

Rob Griffiths, vice Chairman of the WST urged Wrexham directors Dave Bennett and Dave Griffiths to put the club into administration ahead of Wednesday's scheduled High Court date.

"Voluntary administration is now the only realistic option that can secure the club's future," board member Mr Griffiths said yesterday.

"We cannot subscribe to the 'lesser of two evils' theory about Mark Guterman's return and we would refer any doubters to his record at Chester and as previous chairman of Wrexham.
