"We asked them to put all the problems out of their heads and produce good performances for the club and themselves. Credit goes to them for doing that. And this result takes us to within a point of a lot of clubs.
"We had a game plan and it all came right on the day. I'm delighted for everyone for a superb 90 minutes. Now we have got to see if we can carry it all forward.
"And we have to hope that our chairman Jim Rodwell and the board of directors can deal with all the off-field problems as well."
