"I'm on a massive learning curve, but I've never shirked a challenge in my life and coming out fighting is the only way to go," said Carey.
"We looked a much more composed side with Neil Roberts and Mark Jones back.
"We were on top, but the first goal changed things. We've bounced back before and must do that again."
Steve Evans, Wrexham's Welsh international, said after the game
"The lads are down, but we have to do something to pull us together and get out of this situation.
"Performances like that don't help, but there remains a lot of belief in this squad.
"We felt that the first goal was against the run of play, and then we conceded two stupid goals."
Next week Wrexham hos local rivals Chester City. Brian Carey hopes his post match comments will provoke a reaction from the players.
"I said some things to my players that I can't repeat after the game, but overall I think they will react in the right manner," said the Wrexham boss.
"There's a huge local derby with Chester next Sunday. There's maybe an added quality to that game, but every match is a massive occasion for us now."
