Carlos Edwards has confirmed he will be leaving Wrexham in the summer, to chase his dream of playing in the Premiership.

The Trinidad & Tobago international is away on international duty until next month but told a local paper: “I love Wrexham but couldn't pass the opportunity to play at a higher level.”

"Luton are now just one step away from the Premiership, which is where I have always wanted to play."

Commenting on Edwards' departure, manager Denis Smith said: "Carlos has left in the right manner. The move will free up money for the squad."
