Wrexham Supporters' Trust have pledged £3,000 each month to help fund their club.

At the Trust's annual meeting on Thursday members agreed unanimously to the funding.

The Trust is also backing local businessman Neville Dickens' efforts to take over the club.

Talks are still on-going to find a buyer, and Dickens is believed to be preparing a final bid to buy the troubled League Two.

WST press officer Simon Johnson said after the annual meeting:

"We had three motions passed.

"One when we get to £150,000, which we are nearly have, to ringfence the money and give £3,000 per month.

"When it comes out of administration, we propose to carry on giving the £3,000 as a soft loan which the club can either pay back or give us equity as shares.

"Second to support Neville Dickens and Geoff Moss' bid to buy the club.

"Third to campaign for the Racecourse to be designated a sports stadium in the local plan."

Wrexham FC spokesman Geraint Parry said: "Obviously it's a big bonus for the club.

"It is great to see how the trust are backing Denis Smith and the administrators with such a financial gesture.

"It's this co-operation with the trust, supporters clubs and individual supporters, which is going to help get the club back into League One, hopefully at our first attempt."

WST secretary Lindsay Jones said, the immediate aim is to help get Wrexham FC out of its current crisis.

"We have raised a sizeable amount but the focus now has got to be getting us out of this division," he said..
