Clubs Show Interest in Armstrong

Former Spurs player Chris Armstrong has revealed that “one or two” clubs have shown an interest in securing his services following his release from Wrexham.

Armstrong, who struggled for fitness in his second season in north Wales, was expected to leave this summer, and that is the case with no new contract for the one-time Premiership player.

Armstrong said: “I’m 34 now but I feel that I can play on for a while yet. I’ve heard about one or two clubs that might be interested, but I need to speak to my agent and see what the situation is.

“At the moment, I’m just relaxing and enjoying having a break from it all, but hopefully I can get something sorted before the start of the season.”
