Saunders proud to be at Wrexham
Dean Saunders has spoken of the pride he felt at being Wrexham manager on Tuesday night at Burton.
Dean told the club's official website " I was very proud to be part of Wrexham football club"
"The players gave me everything on the pitch, and the supporters played their part off it"
"To take over 1200 fans away on a Tuesday night is a tremendous achievement and I hope that you can see the progress that is being made week in week out, as we try to get this club back to where it rightfully belongs"
Saunders continued by saying "The fans sang throughout the match and got right behind the players. Alright, in the end the result went against us, but there were so many other positives to take away with us"
"I hope that in years to come we all look back at the Burton match, and say that's were the misery finally stopped"
Deano's boys are back in action tomorrow, when they take on holders Ebbsfleet United in the FA Trophy Quarter Final. Saunders will be looking for the Dragons to bounce back from Tuesday's setback and take another step towards May's Wembley final.
