Ex Dragon Pejic signs for York City

York City have snapped up ex Wrexham defender Shaun Pejic on a free transfer following his release by the Dragons on transfer deadline day.

Shaun has been training at York this week and is eligible to play in Saturday's FA Trophy Match at home to Havant and Waterlooville after receiving international clearance from the Welsh FA.

Shaun made a total of 199 appearances for Wrexham since making his debut in April 2001 against Port Vale, and won an LDV Trophy winners medal in 2005 when the Dragons beat Southend United 2-0 at the Millennium Stadium.

Shaun also won Six Wales U21 caps while at the Racecourse.

Ex Wrexham coach Martin Foyle told the press that Shaun hasn't played a lot of football this season, but he's a strong tenacious defender.

Foyle has also taken Levi Mackin, Christian Smith, Simon Brown and Kyle Critchell to the Kit Kat Crescent from Wrexham in Recent weeks. While Ex Dragons keeper Michael Ingham is also a member of the Minstermen's squad.
