Goalkeeper Joins On One Month Loan

Ben Foster, of Stoke City, will join Wrexham on a one month loan deal as cover for Andy Dibble, however, Xavi Valero has had to be released after playing four games for the club.

Foster is only 21, and came through the Stoke City Academy in 2001. He is agile, with good hands, however, a series of injuries has kept him progressing, and he has yet to play for Bristol City’s first team, making the bench a week ago.

He has, however, played reserve team football and under-19s and joined his new team mates this morning for training before the game with Hereford in tomorrow's LDV Vans Northern Semi Final Northern First Leg.

Foster has made it known at City that he wishes to play first team football and their Director of Football John Rudge said: "This is a great opportunity for Ben to go out on loan and get some first team experience under his belt."

If all the paperwork is completed in time, it is expected that Foster will make his debut tomorrow night.
