He pulled a muscle in the victory at Gigg Lane and is now in a battle to regain fitness.

"As a player you get set backs," he said. "But while I will be out for a few weeks, it will give someone else a chance.

"I will be back though, although at this stage I'm not exactly sure when."

Williams scored with a header and injured himself in doing so. He took the oportunity given him by the Bury keeper's error and Williams was in.

"I was just delighted to grab my first league goal for the club, but the moment I felt the leg go, I knew I had pulled a muscle.

"As soon as I saw the keeper coming out I realised he had misjudged it, so I gambled, but as I stretched to head it in I could feel the pain in my leg and knew I had done it.

"But at least the goal was something we could hold onto and the lads did really well. We also kept another clean sheet."
