Is Jonah coming home?
Is Mark Jones set to make a return to the racecourse? 24 year old mark has been released by Rochdale after spending one season at Spotland. Speaking to the Wrexham Evening Leader Jones said "I still live in Wrexham but it is still at the early stages, the season has only just finished, "I am not rushing into anything.
"I would definitely consider it, of course I would.
"It is my hometown club and everyone wants to play for their hometown club, Wrexham means a lot to me. I have just got to think about a couple of things and we will see what happens."
Pretty much the last couple of years I have been struggling but I know I will get back to where I was," said Jones.
"A run of games would do me the world of good, and I am confident I have the ability to do it.
"I have not had a run for three years. Injuries have been disappointing but I have been injury free since October.
"It is probably make or break now.
"All I have ever wanted to do is be a footballer and I don't want to let that slip. I just want to get back to playing."
Wrexham manager Dean Saunders has revealed that nothing has been agreed with Jones and talks are at a preliminary stage.
"I have spoken to Mark, we've had discussions and it is on-going. I know all about Mark from the Wales squad and we have been talking to see what the situation is.
"When you speak to a player you want to look them in the eye and see if they have got the desire.
"It is a case of whether Mark wants to come here and whether I want him to come.
"I want quality players coming in but nothing is definite. We have got to agree on a few things and we are just talking."
