"Ruddy has gone back to Everton as Mike Ingham is going to be fit now again and I would just like to thank him for his efforts.
"Ruddy wanted to stay for another month but we have decided to send him back. It wasn't a case of Everton calling him back and it wasn't a money issue.
With Ingham missing for the Bristol Rovers game on March 24th becuase he will be with Northern Ireland it seems strange to lose Ruddy just now? Michael Jones is the only other option available.
Carey added: "With the international matches the following weekend, Mike will be going on the Monday, March 19.
"So we will have to deal with that when it happens"
