David Hodgson

"The goal meant nothing in terms of its value to our play-off bid, but I am pleased we didn't lose.

"We have fallen just short again, but I want promotion for this club, and will give it another go next season.

"I was fuming at half-time because we were nowhere near clinical enough, nor did we show enough thought and desire.

"We wanted to win this game by several goals, not draw it, but in the end a draw was the best we could hope for and at least we got it.

"There will be changes to the squad this summer and we need to come back with a more consistent team, because that is where we have been lacking. But it is a very young team and we have had more than our share of problems with injuries and players moving on."

Denis Smith (on conceding so late)

"We were in the second minute of injury time and it's come from a corner that wasn't, so it's frustrating," he said.

"We've had six or seven chances to wrap it up in the second half and that's been the failing all season.

"But there were some outstanding performances from some young lads and that bodes well for next season."
