Denis Smith's squad builinding is continuing at a furios pace. Defender Shaun Pejic has signed a new 12 month contract.

Smith has re-signed Chris Llewellyn from Hartlepool. The striker has return to the Racecourse 12 months after leaving. His Hartlepool contract was eneded by mutual consent.

"It's good to be back," Llewellyn told the club website.

"I would though like to assure fans that I'm coming back to help the club win promotion.

"I wouldn't be returning if I didn't believe we had a good chance this season."

Pejic, whose father Mel is the Wrexham physio, has been with the north Wales club since 1999.

"I'm looking forward to the new campaign," Pejic said.

"The boss is looking at several formations for next season and defensively I can adapt to whatever he wants.

"We went close last year (to promotion), but not close enough - hopefully it will be different this time."
