Relegated north Wales side Wrexham have began planning for League Two football next season, however any hopes that the club's future is secure are still on a knife-edge according to one of the administrators running Wrexham FC.
To compound his belief Dragons boss Denis Smith weighed in with his view and said more work needed to be done to increase attendances at the Racecourse.
Despite offers for the club, owner Alex Hamilton is still nowhere near agreeing a sale to Wrexham businessman Neville Dickens or anyone else, saying that the people who wish to develop the land have offered more money.
Hamilton has served the club with an eviction notice to leave the ground by July 21, however, the administrators last week rejected the eviction notice and said football would continue at the Racecourse for at least another 12 months.
"Mr Hamilton would now have to take legal action against us in order to kick the club out and we don't think he'll do that," said Acland yesterday.
"Nor have we heard from him since we issued our statement. "Now someone has to give the Football League a commitment to trade through all next season and do it in such a way that the club's creditors don't suffer.
"We have to ensure that the club can pay its way and, in line with the Football League's criteria, give them an assurance the club can fulfil its fixtures."
And Acland also believes the club needs serious help to maximise commercial and sponsorship activities as a means of boosting the club's income.
Neville Dickens has also appealed for help to save the club after his initial bid was rejected by Alex Hamilton.
Manager Smith, who may even be out of a job in the summer like the majority of his staff and playing squad has said that the club not leaving the ground is a starting point to turning the club around.
"I'm working with what I know about the club's circumstances rather than with what I hope will happen here," he said.
"Wrexham is not a well-supported club and we have to work harder to try and attract people into the ground."
After a disappointing end to the season with two defeats in their last league two games, Wrexham will be looking to win their final game of the season in the FAW Premier Cup against newly-promoted League One side Swansea City in what will be the last ever game at the Vetch Field
