Squad news to face Bristol City

Goalkeeper Danny Evans returns to the fold to join last week’s 15 who made the trip to Hayes and enjoyed an emphatic win in the FA Cup. The 17 year old missed out last week due to an injury but returns following recovery and the news that reserve keeper Michael Jones picked up an injury in midweek in a 1-0 defeat to Shrewsbury Reserves.

Added to the 16 players is Craig Morgan who has now recovered from his hamstring injury to face a team that Wrexham have failed to do well against for years, and have only scored once against them in 7 meetings and only 4 in 10, their last win against them being on September 13th 1997.

Andy Dibble, Carlos Edwards, Jim Whitely and Brian Carey still miss out through long term injury.

Tomorrow’s game will not be in doubt, despite the snow that fell yesterday. The majority of that has thawed, and with it raining on and off throughout today it is unlikely that the game will be effected. In case of any snow problems overnight, there are a team of snow removers on standby, meaning nothing can prevent the game against Bristol City going ahead in what is Wrexham’s Community Day where many children will be at the game for free or £1 and Fans Utd Day sees many fans from other clubs wearing their own club colours in support of Wrexham with the Wrexham faithful.

Smith will name his team from the following:

Matt Baker, Danny Evans, Steve Roberts, Shaun Pejic, Dennis Lawrence, Andy Holt, Simon Spender, Matt Crowell, Alex Smith, Darren Ferguson, Levi Mackin, Craig Morgan, Mark Jones, Hector Sam, Chris Llewellyn, Chris Armstrong and Juan Ugarte.
