Wrexham Bid to Attract Youngsters to the Racecourse

Wrexham will be giving away a free replica shirt with every junior season ticket sold for next season with a little help from the Wrexham Supporters' Trust.

The move is aimed at attracting more junior supporters to home games, with the club also standardising family ticket offer to include both the Sainsburys and Pryce Griffiths stands.

Wrexham Supporters' Trust is providing the replica shirts as a measure of its backing for the steering committee handling the club's day-to-day affairs on behalf of the administrators.

Administrators said yesterday: "The Football League are monitoring the position closely.

"The stark fact is that the income generated from season ticket sales will be vital in demonstrating to the League and, indeed, those parties still genuinely interested in acquiring the club that it has a viable and potentially prosperous future at the Racecourse Ground." .

Fans buying season tickets are guaranteed refunds on unplayed matches should the club go out of business before the end of the season and can also pay for their tickets in three installments.

As the club are still unable to accept credit or debit card payments, supporters are being asked either to pay in full before the start of the season or to issue three cheques. Two of which would be post-dated to
November 1, 2005 and February 1, 2006, each cheque being one-third of the total price.

The administrators added: "If supporters are able to pay in full we would obviously appreciate it."
