Coventry striker Stern John, who was replaced in the 71st minute by Southampton striker Kenwyne Jones, gave the Warriors a 34th-minute lead after Port Vale winger Chris Birhcall had seen his shot blocked by Gonzalez in the Panama goal.
A second-half strike by Dragons star Lawrence sealed the points for the Warriors.
