Red Dragons missing Ormerod
Brett Ormerod has sustained a hamstring injury in training and will not feature in the Wrexham squad to face Alfreton in the FA Cup.
The experienced striker is likely to be out for a couple of weeks.
Defender Martin Riley could come into contention for this match if he passes a fitness test on a recent hamstring problem of his own.
Striker Rob Ogleby could also be in the running for a place in the squad if he overcomes a recent knock but recent loan signing, defender Daniel Alfei, will not feature as he has not been given permission to play by parent club Swansea.
Defender Mark Creighton is a long-term injury victim as he continues his recovery from a season ending knee injury.
Striker Anthony Wilson is Alfreton manager Nicky Law's only injury concern.
Wilson failed to recover from a swollen knee in time for the Reds' draw against Telford last weekend and he will face a late fitness check.
If he is passed fit he will compete with Paul Clayton for a place alongside Nathan Arnold in the Alfreton attack.
Midfielder Anton Brown proved his fitness after a recent calf injury by coming off the bench against the Bucks and he is again likely to feature in the squad for this match.
Winger Simon Russell will be pushing for a start after being on the bench last time out while Ben Tomlinson may retain his place up front after scoring the opening goal in the Telford game.
