Wrexham V Oxford Utd at Racecourse Ground - Match Preview

Bishop back from ban

Wrexham will have Andy Bishop back from suspension when they take on Oxford in the FA Cup second round.

Bishop has sat out the last three games after he saw red in the Dragons' defeat at Kidderminster in mid-November. He had scored five goals in two games before his dismissal.

Joe Anyinsah is making good progress from kidney damage but this game will come too soon for the striker.

Manager Andy Morrell is expected to recall several first-team players, including Dean Keates, Jay Harris and Brett Ormerod, after resting them in the FA Trophy last weekend.

Oxford will assess centre-backs Michael Raynes and Johnny Mullins.

The pair picked up knocks in the build-up to Thursday night's 1-0 victory over Gateshead in their first-round replay and had to miss out but they could well return to the U's side.

Full-backs David Hunt and Tom Newey switched to the heart of the defence for that match and look set to return to their more familiar positions while Danny Rose and Dave Kitson should be available despite coming off with minor problems.

Shrewsbury loanee Asa Hall will be involved after missing out on the Gateshead victory as he was ineligible.
