Barnet were left to rue a wasted an opportunity after they threw away a two goal lead at home to Wrexham on Saturday afternoon.
The Bees started brightly and Tresor Kandol twice went close as they tried to build on a superb performance at Leyton Orient in the week.
Their first half pressure eventually paid off when Jason Norville volleyed them in front on the half hour. The former Watford man latched on to a poor pass from Simon Spender before carrying the ball and firing home an unstoppable volley from a tight angle.
Seven minutes later Kandol doubled the advantage. The striker capitalised on a weak clearance from Michael Ingham before cutting inside Dennis Lawrence and firing in off the body of the unfortunate keeper.
At this stage it was all Barnet and Wrexham had not managed to create a chance.
Denis Smith's side gave themselves the lifeline a minute before the interval when Barnet defence missed two opportunities to clear and the ball eventually broke to Mark Jones and the midfielder fired in a rising shot that flashed past Matthew Reed in the Bees net.
On 61 minutes the Welsh side drew level. Matt Derbyshire broke a far from convincing offside trap before finding himself one on one with Reed. The diminutive forward took his time before slotting.
The game settled down after the equaliser and always looked likely to end up as a draw. Norville was unfortunate late on when he thought that he had given Barnet a win unfortunately for the home side his calm closed ranged finished through the legs of Ingham was eventually ruled out by a late but correct of side flag.
