In-form Hartlepool brushed puny Wrexham aside to chalk up their third win in eight days.
Striker Jon Daly netted all three goals to take his tally for the three victories to seven as Pools took another step towards the promotion fight.
But it was a team display that killed off Wrexham, who were rarely in the game once the home team found their rhythm.
In a one-sided first half, Hartlepool put themselves in control with a quick-fire Daly double.
He settled the home team's nerves on 20 minutes with a great header into the top corner from John Brackstone's corner.
Two minutes later, Willie Boland pulled the ball back from the left into Daly's path for the Irishman to make it 2-0.
Daly might have wrapped up his hat-trick when, in the 35th minute, Matty Robson laid on another chance from the left, but the striker somehow contrived to miss the ball in front of an open goal.
The Welshmen looked better for a short spell after the break, but home goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos saved a Mark Jones free-kick and an attempted clearance from Brackstone that threatened an own goal.
Daly grabbed his third on 68 minutes when his header from Brackstone's left-wing free-kick went in off the inside of a post.
From then on it was only a matter of how many Hartlepool would score as Wrexham prayed for the final whistle.
The home team attacked almost non-stop, but on a hot day their efforts began to flag once Daly's third had guaranteed victory.
