Wrexham were beaten 1-0 by York in their Blue Square Premier clash at KitKat Crescent.
The home side squandered a number of chances before Mark Greaves finally headed the winner in the 73rd minute.
The Welsh side started brightly forcing a number of corners before York saw Daniel Parslow mis-kick with the goal at his mercy.
The home side again went close as Daniel McBreen just missed the target with a header.
When Wrexham did venture into York's penalty area, Jefferson Louis looked to be held when he jumped for a header, with the ball falling to Sam Aiston who saw his shot parried for a corner.
The goal was preceded by Ben Wilkinson's fierce shot which goalkeeper Gavin Ward put out for a corner, and from this Greaves rose at the back post to break the deadlock.
