Reflecting on yesterday’s 2-2 draw with
“I think it was a fair score and if you are a neutral it was great entertainment.
”I’m sure both sides are thinking they should have won it and it’s not often you are going to see Paul Merson miss an opportunity from that close in.
“Generally we were disciplined and well organised considering how young we were in midfield I though we did a good job. I’m pleased.
“We have to look at the good things from our play and I thought the little ball from Mark Jones to set up Llewellyn’s goal was excellent. Obviously we came here looking for a win but if you look at their home performances they have had a four and a three so keeping them down to two was a good result.
“Their home record is excellent but they have problems on their travels, but as a unit I thought we defended well throughout.
“That’s five games in different competitions unbeaten. I’m getting players back now, I looked at my bench and had the likes of Alex Smith and Dean Bennett available and that makes a big difference.
“So it’s good to have players coming back and Ben in goal has done a good job for us. Mind you we are not out of the woods yet, as on Thursday Jim Whitley was going to play and now we’ve ended up with Matt Crowell as our third choice in that role, but to be fair he had a super game.
“I’ve said to the players that we were a good side at the start of the season but we’ve had a few problems as well as the injuries which has knocked us but as long as they keep working hard for each other then there is a good chance we can come through this.”
