Bucket Collection News

As some of you may know, Liverpool invited the Wrexham Supporters' Trust to Anfield for the Liverpool match with Portsmouth to carry out a bucket collection outside two of their stands and then watch the match.

Both were a fantastic opportunity to champion Wrexham FC's cause, and while we manahed to raise £4272.81 from Anfield, we then went inside and managed to make more noise than both the Portsmouth and Liverpool fans in a packed Anfield, which is impressive, since there was around 40 Wrexham fans and almost 40,000 fans in total.

In other collections away from the Racecourse, we managed to collect £944.70 at the Oldham v Manchester City FA Cup tie, and £855.48 at our Boxing Day clash with Bradford City.

Our defeat against Blackpool at the Racecourse on New Day's Day saw us raise £950 for the Tsunami appeal.

We continually need volunteers at the Racecourse every home game to hold buckets and collect money, and also at away games, if you go away.

Fans of other teams can also hold their own collections, if they have clearance from the club to do so (the best port of call there would probably be the Stadium Manager) - several clubs have held their own collection for us including Norwich among others.
